With so much competition on the internet today, it’s important that you website stands out from the crowd AND introduces your brand to the digital world. If you don’t do it… your competitors will.
That’s why I’m sharing the following tips to help make your business and website remarkable.

Dare to be different! The most common mistake of website owners, designers, or marketers, is that they are afraid to be too different. Usually when someone starts to build his online presence he uses some web pages for reference. This can be helpful, but these are supposed to be only for reference!
Keep it Clean
Use white space to help make your website friendly for your visitors. Many designers feel the need to occupy EVERY bit of space on the monitor, but the reality is that if your website feels cluttered and busy your visitor could be hitting the back button and visiting your competitors.
Make It Easy
Make it easy for visitors to find what they are looking for on your website. Don’t have every single page listed in the menu… instead highlight the important ones and then have them find a logical path to other pages. Remember you can have additional links at the bottom of you website.
Let’s be real: Arial and Times New Roman can be boring. Nowadays designers are no longer limited to only a few choices. The key is to choose two or three fonts that are easy to read and keep them consistent throughout the website.
You only have 2-3 seconds to make an impression on your visitors. If the page takes 10 seconds or more to load because of large file sized banner graphics then your visitors will get frustrated and leave quickly. Be certain to optimize your banner images, videos, java files, and CSS files. If your website still loads slow you may have to look at changing your website theme.
Your website shouldn’t be colored like a rainbow. The fewer colors you select for your brand the better. I recommend limiting your color palette to 2 or 3 colors. Keep the colors relatively subdued except for the occasional splash of color for headlines or graphics you want to stand out (like buttons).
Keep Forms Simple
Nobody wants to complete a complicated form to opt into your newsletter or to contact the business. Keep your form fields to a minimum and make it simple for prospects to use. If you MUST use captcha then make sure they are viewable by the end user. I recommend opt in forms have first name, last name, and email fields. Think clean, simple and minimal.
Click. Click. Bang
Reduce the barrier to make purchases on your website. That means reduce the number of clicks needed to make a purchase. A good rule of them is 3 clicks to make a purchase.
Pick Up The Phone
Not all your visitors will want to fill out a form to contact you: some prefer just to make a call. Make sure your phone number is easy to find on your website. Don’t make them hunt for it.
