Know Your Outcome.
I was listening to Tony Robbins in my car on the way up to Canada to visit my family. I love listening to Tony Robbins, and other mindset audios in my car. It is a great idea to always do something to work on you mindset every day.
I recorded a video about some things I was reminded of on this drive about how it is important to know your outcome.
VIDEO: Know Your Outcome
There are four steps to achieving any goals you have. No matter what you are doing, you should always have a goal… so know your outcome regardless of how small your goal may seem.
Step 1: Know Your Outcome
Before you can succeed, you have to know what you desires are. No matter what you do, if you spend a moment to think about your desired outcome you will find that you make huge strides in your life.
For example, if you are having an argument pause and make sure you are clear on what your desired outcome. Are you just arguing to satisfy your ego, or do you really have a desired outcome. If you know your outcome in an argument you may be able to find some common ground once you find out everyone elses’ desired outcome.
Another example can even be visiting a friend. Pause before you go and think about what the desired outcome is there. Is it for you to have fun? Or to reconnect with your friend. Knowing your outcome will have guide your actions during the visit and you will be surprised how much more fruitful the visit will be.
Now take this to the next level and know your outcome for larger events.
Step 2: Take Action
This should be an obvious step, but still needs to be said as part of the four part action plan. You have to take action… make steps towards your desired outcome.
Step 3: Measure Your Progress Towards Your Outcome
You have to keep monitoring your progress. Just like a plane heading towards it’s destination, you need to check your progress regularly. Know where you are relative to your goals.
Step 4: Correct Your Course
Make corrections as needed. Don’t be surprised if you have to always at least make small tweaks to your action plan. As you monitor your progress, make the changes you need to make sure you head towards your outcome. Then take new action and measure again, etc.
With practice these four steps will have you achieve a lot more than you think possible.
Here’s to YOUR prosperity.
