“How to Overcome Financial Struggles” written by Bren Koger.
Do you ever feel like you are just keeping your head above water financially?
Do you feel overwhelmed with financial struggles?
It can be exhausting to be constantly treading water by expending energy on living paycheck to paycheck.
You are paddling away, trying so hard to stay afloat.
Literally, all of your vital source energy is used for survival.
Financial Struggles of Working for the Weekend
You work through the week, look forward to the weekend, only to spend it on things to numb yourself to get through another week.
This leaves no time left over to enjoy your life.
This used to be me. I worked as an RN, Esthetician and Licensed Massage Therapist. I kept going back to school for further training, but was never able to get beyond living within a strict budget and had nothing saved for my retirement.
What If You Could Avoid Financial Struggles?
What if you could actually live your life like a vacation instead of looking forward to a few weeks of vacation every year?
What if you could live how you are meant to live?
No more paddling frantically, but actually floating out in the sun.
It is possible, but there are a few things you need to do first.
Prior to working in our online business, I didn’t even know there was such a thing as internet marketing.
Once I found out about it, I realized the term itself has gotten a bad rap. It really is leveraging the power of the internet to promote services or a product online.
I found that, in reality, for the first time in my life I was involved with a community of like minded people… not just in business but spiritually as well.
I also learned that I needed to change my way of thinking on the inside before my outside world would change. This involved 3 things:
Short term sacrifice. You will need to work very hard for a period of time. You will need to do the things most people are not willing to do.
What does this mean?
It means it takes a while to build your business and you may be doing quite a bit of work before you see results. That’s where the mindset component saved us. If Mike and I didn’t know about the power of The Law of Attraction and using our intuition, we might have quit before we started seeing results. Mike had the vision before me and knew that this was an opportunity to talk and write about what we are passionate about and make enough money to live our dream lifestyle now and into our retirement.
Financial Investment As with any business, you will need to make a financial investment and put money back into your business. This was tough for me. I didn’t come from a business minded family. I come from a family of savers. My Mom, especially, would rather shop at thrift stores and discount stores than over spend on anything. The idea of taking a risk financially was new to me and again Mike had been a real estate investor, so knew that it takes money to make money
You Are Who You Spend Time With
Your Friends Will Change: Who do you surround yourself with? That’s who you are. You will need to start reaching out and masterminding with people more successful than you. Ask questions of the people who have already been successful. Reach out and message them or get to a mastermind and events. It’s the best way to model what the successful people are doing. Everyone started as a beginner. The only difference between you and the million dollar earners is experience and the willingness to do what it takes.
We are a reflection of the people we spend the most time with. Your thoughts and behaviors about money often mirror those of the people you value the most. If you’re surrounding yourself with people who are successful in most areas of their life, it will naturally rub off on you.
Get On The Road To Eliminating Financial Struggles
You don’t need to dog paddle anymore just to stay afloat financially.
You might need to swim hard and through some uncharted seas in the beginning, but now that we have started reaching our goals and living the lifestyle we could only dream of in the past, it has been so worth it.
To have the ability to float above water on our own terms has been worth any struggle.
What do you feel is your biggest barrier to financial success? What has been the cause of your financial struggles?
